The ultimate expression of form and function, rugs can bring colour and texture to a space, as well as warmth underfoot. Move over gallery walls, 2022 is all about gallery floors.
Never underestimate the power of a rug. Throw down an area a rug over a sad, stained carpet in your rental flat and voila, fresh new space. Layer up a couple of patterned pieces to switch up your home’s colour palette. Rugs are the key living room accessory, and there are so many gorgeous ways to style them to suit your space.
The 10 exciting high street rugs below are everyday works of art.

I love these rugs, they are so much more interesting than I have seen when out rug shopping! I adore numbers 9 and 10 — think I will have to check out more from these designers/brands!
Rugs can really ‘make’ a space. In my home, I have a gallery rug in two reception rooms. The first is grey, white and black (mostly grey), and is purely functional. The second is more of a statement piece and has bright, bold colours. It really brings the room to life and gives it character. I really like the geometric rug from Habitat – good price too Great ideas in this post.
I love the colors! I was actually planning to buy new carpets for my office and I came across your post at the perfect time! I especially love the Bapsy cotton rug since I love neutral shades! I will definitely check out some of them. Thank you so much for sharing, I loved reading it! x Penny / http://www.whatdidshetype.com
I use to have smaller rugs or crocheted rugs that my mum made. I don’t have one at the moment but these are great suggestions. Thank you for sharing.
